Dr Lim obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and his Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certificate from the American College of Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine Certificate with the International Olympic Committee and his Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore. He has worked in clinical sports medicine, rehabilitation and lifestyle intervention for more than 15 years focusing on behavioural modification, lifestyle intervention and musculoskeletal rehabilitation as part of holistic performance optimisation. He was the Chief Medical Officer for Team Singapore in the 2013 Asian Youth Games and 2014 Asian Games, overseeing the health and wellbeing of the Team Singapore athletes and delegates. Besides his long-standing interest in healthy lifestyle, performance optimisation and wellbeing, Dr Lim has also been actively involved in cardiac rehabilitation and in community preventive health programmes over the past decade. He was the Head of Clinical & Wellness in Cigna Singapore, helming clinical governance and wellness strategy for the Employee Benefits space in Singapore. Currently Dr Lim is Head of Governance, Analytics and Partnerships at the University Wellbeing Office, Nanyang Technological University, overseeing wellbeing policies and partnership programmes for all NTU staff and students. As part of self-care and personal wellbeing, Dr Lim also enjoys daydreaming, catching up on trivia, cultivating a jungle in his living room, trekking and long walks.
