Eric is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Montreal office. Eric is an active leader within McKinsey’s Consumer practice, with particular expertise in the area of Health & Wellness. Eric is the leader of McKinsey’s Fitness Practice globally, having had the opportunity to serve various players playing in the sector (premium, mid-tier, and value Fitness centers / Fitness studios / Health&Wellness aggregators / Health&Welness digital solutions, equipment manufacturers and geographies (North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia)▪ Designing and implementing strategy for leading U.S. mid-tier gym operator. Assessed sector dynamics to understand what is driving shift in consumer preferences, and sized evolution of other Health & Wellness segments growing around Fitness (e.g., nutrition, physical therapy). Repositioned brand in increasingly competitive market place. Assessed relevance and potential impact of different strategic alternatives to align on go-forward strategy. Set-up transformation office and design function to implement strategy and design innovative consumer solutions
▪ Developing growth strategy for leading Northern European gym operator, with focus on market expansion . Conducted in depth analyses to map opportunities for expansion across different markets across the world (focus on Europe) and understand best ways to drive value in core business. Conducted workshops with management team to select best opportunities. Framed go-forward strategy and plan to align organization
▪ Stepping-up design and innovation capability at leading gym player in North America. Conducted in-depth consumer research and ethnographies to get deep understanding of consumer need states and what drives decisions. Worked hand in hand with client to train team members in best-in-class design practices, anchoring on the development of 3 core innovations for their members across: club experience, digital app and personal training. Client now has agile war rooms set-up to develop new consumer solutions continuously
▪ Building growth strategy for leading Chinese gym chain. Built comprehensive assessment of category drivers and dynamics in the rapidly growing Chinese Fitness market. Designed strategic alternatives with highest potential for client and conducted workshops to build 5-year roadmap.
▪ Revising product (membership) and pricing for leading U.S. Fitness operator, leveraging advanced analytics. Built conjoint-enabled pricing simulator and conducted in-depth consumer analyses to understand potential to grow memberships and LTV. Designed set of potential membership and pricing combinations. Worked with client to select goforward portfolio and brought designers in to optimize member response

▪ Eric holds a BA from the John Molson School of Business. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked at Tetra Pak in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Toronto, Canada in sales and marketing management roles.
