With 20 years industry experience working with brands including MYZONE, TRX, NASM and Stages Cycling, today Mel Spooner is joint-owner of CAWS, an online fitness education company. CAWS creates content, courses and curricula specific to the needs of the fitness sector, and according to direct feedback from coaches and employers around skill gaps and career development. Right now CAWS is best known for two things. Its content focused on post-health events, like Long-COVID and Cancer, and life-stage content, like the Menstrual Cycle and the Menopause. As well as delivering content to the same standard as university undergraduate programmes that is affordable for everyone. Mel is known for her willingness to collaborate, and bring people together to drive standards, progress and diversity across borders. She is a huge supporter of FIT SUMMIT and the audiences that it serves, and is looking forward to spending more time on the ground in APAC in 2023, to share and learn from industry friends and colleagues.
