Rostam has spent 25 years in the public service – the first 18 years with Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and subsequently with Sport Singapore (SportSG).

Rostam joined SportSG in 2011, as Chief of the Organisation and Strategy Development Group leading the Human Capital, Organisation Excellence and Volunteer Management functions. During his tenure, he also played a major role in the planning and execution of two major games in 2015 – the 28th Southeast Asian Games & 8th ASEAN Para Games, taking on multiple portfolios as the Chief of Manpower & Games Engagement, Chief of Client Services and the Mayor for the Games Village for both events. In his current capacity as Chief of Strategy Group, Rostam focuses on strategic planning, resourcing, research, strategic communications, partnerships and fundraising.

In his time with the Singapore Tourism Board, Rostam served in key roles such as the Head of Change Management, Director of Communications and Executive Director of Human Resources, Organisational Development and Communications. He was also involved in major projects such as restructuring and “re-tooling” STB, the Integrated Resorts and the Singapore Formula One event.
