Sales and Business Development Executive (Singapore)

Start date: 14 March 2022

This role is based in Singapore and requires you be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

You will help secure new customers and revenue for FIT Summit – www.thefitsummit.com – by selling exhibition, sponsorship, advertising, delegate and membership opportunities to businesses operating in/into the health, fitness and wellness world (from nutrition to technology, apparel to insurers, franchisors to equipment companies and apps to business advisory providers). The role is purely B2B.

Your main duties and responsibilities include: speaking with prospects and persuading them to (i) sponsor upcoming FIT Summit events, (ii) exhibit at upcoming FIT Summit events, (iii) attend upcoming FIT Summit events by purchasing multiple tickets, (iv) sponsor our year-end industry report, and (v) buy digital activation and advertisement services.

You will conduct the majority of your work online (Zoom, Phone, Email, LinkedIn) however, you will also have face-to-face meetings with potential Singapore-based clients. On average you would have 5 in-depth conversations per day. The role requires considerable time online and in-person to contact and engage prospects.

We require that you have diverse sales experience, if possible, in selling sponsorships, exhibitions and/or membership-based products/services, in a B2B environment. You must have excellent communication skills, enjoy being part of a small but highly motivated team, be able to work remotely, independently motivated, be confident in your business development skills, resilient over inevitable rejections, and professional at all times to clients and prospective clients. Additional language skills outside of English are advantageous. Our CRM system is ActiveCampaign, experience of this system or working with similar systems (HubSpot, SalesForce, etc) is also advantageous.
